About this frame

Cat-eye eyeglasses from l.a.Eyeworks: the Palapa in Threads, sized 51–19–137, which is a 51mm eye, a 19mm bridge and 137mm temples. Lenses and bridge together come to about 121mm across the front, a middle width. Made in acetate, the Palapa is fitted with gentle heat: an optician warms the temples and bends them to your ears. Progressive wearers should ask us for the lens height of the Palapa first, as it is not listed yet.

Frame only: prescription lenses are not included.

Eye is the width of one lens, bridge is the gap between them, and temple is the length of the arm — all in millimetres. Your own frames carry the same three numbers, usually printed inside the left arm.

Shipping and returns

Shipping. Free on every order within the United States, fully insured, and signed for on delivery. Frames leave the shop within 1–2 business days, packed by hand in their case. Standard delivery takes 2–5 business days; Express is available at checkout. We ship within the US only, and cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.

Returns. Request a return within 7 days of delivery. Frames must come back unworn, with their case and packaging; refunds are made less a 15% restocking fee, and return shipping is paid by the customer. Discounted frames and frames marked final sale cannot be returned or refunded.

Damaged or not as described? Tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will put it right, with no restocking fee.
