About Modo

Modo was founded in SoHo, New York, in 1990 by Alessandro Lanaro. The brand is known for light, minimal frames that fit easily into everyday life.

Modo has made sustainability part of its business, launching the ECO line in 2009 and planting a tree for every ECO frame sold. The group has since grown to include other labels, among them Italia Independent.
