About Flexon
Flexon is a nickel-titanium shape memory alloy that can be bent and then return to its original form. The material’s properties were first discovered in 1961 at the U.S. Naval Ordnance Laboratory.
For years it was considered too difficult to weld, plate or process for glasses.
