About Silhouette

Silhouette was founded in Linz, Austria, in 1964 by Anneliese and Arnold Schmied, who believed glasses could be an accessory as well as a tool for seeing. It has grown into the world’s leading maker of premium rimless eyewear.

Its Titan Minimal Art collection, introduced in 1999, brought frames that can weigh as little as 1.8 grams. Every Silhouette product is made in Austria.
