About LAPIMA
Lapima was launched in 2016 in Campinas, outside São Paulo, by Gustavo Assis and Gisela Assis, who set up their own atelier instead of outsourcing production. Around twenty artisans work there.
Frames are hand-sculpted from Italian cellulose acetate in more than thirty steps. The colors come from Brazil’s landscapes and the angular shapes from its architecture and art, often in generous proportions.
